DaMon and Hope’s story began in the summer of 2021, when Hope moved to Memphis after graduating from college to work at Playhouse on the Square. New to the city and the Memphis dating scene, she quickly matched with DaMon on both Bumble and Hinge - clearly the algorithms were onto something! Their first date lasted over three hours and jumped straight into the deep stuff: family, politics, religion, and everything in between.

 

On paper, they’re total opposites: he’s a thoughtful, detail-minded engineer; she’s creative spirit who leads with heart - but from the start, it just clicked. As a Memphis native, DaMon became Hope’s unofficial tour guide, introducing her to his favorite restaurants, neighborhoods, and the local charm that helped her fall in love with more than just him.

 

Together, they’ve built a life full of love, community, and shared purpose. They enjoy attending and volunteering together at their church, taking weekend trips with friends, and hosting cozy nights in their downtown apartment with their two cats, Esther and Miles.

 

Nearly five years later, their relationship is grounded in kindness, mutual respect, and a steady, easy love. They share plenty of laughter and joy, and love nothing more than discovering new corners of the city, hand in hand. Now, they can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all the people who’ve been a part of their journey.
